Updated Gmail contact is more like Gmail inbox-More user friendly

Previously Gmail contact was dull looking and not much user friendly.But now contact option is updated and have the same flexibility like Gmail inbox.

Update to Gmail contacts

Gmail contacts-A new look

Previously Gmail " Compose Mail" was a text link.Now in updated Gmail , " Compose mail" is now a button.

Also there are new items in the top left side "Contacts" " Tasks"

Updated Gmail contacts-Custom and Structured field,label

In contact info page ,you can add custom field as your wish like job title and phonetic name or nick name.You can add phone number,address or anything.

Updated Gmail contacts-Sort by last name or First name

With this option you can sort the contact list according to the last name or first name.
Previously sorting by first name was available now sorting by last name option is updated.

Automatic saving and Undo any change made

Whatever change or edit you do will be automatically saved and you can undo any change or edit.

Google apps

Google apps customer will not see this updates until now.But according to Google,they are working to enable this update for apps client too.
