This is a great and must do feature in Blogs.In blog's main page and other level pages where more than one post is displayed,it is great to show only the title and summary text and provide a link to the full post.
Why you need this-'expandable post'
- For better loading time.-Say in your home page there are 5 posts to disply ,if all posts contains images 300 KB then home page load is above 300KB,when a single post's image size is only 60 KB.This will affect your webpage loading time and distract visitors.But if you set this expandable post option,only title and some top text will display,loading time will be tremendously improved.
- For more visitor friendly.-Visitor may not like to read all of your post.If all posts are disply,then he/she will have to scroll through below or above to view the next post.But if expandable post option is used visitor can pick and view the all posts easily.
How to do this-'expandable post'
Insert page Break option
In blogspot post editor
- While you are in compose mode.
- Complete the summary text ,its your choice.
- Then in where you wish to jump,place the cursor there ,click on jump break tab.
- Thats all,its done.

If you don't like ' Read more ' ,you can change it.Perhaps you may like to choose and set - 'Continue reading' ,or 'View full post' etc.
- Click on Design in dash board
- Then click on Edit in post gadget.
- Change text as your wish.
