Blogger has added Stats tab-traffic analyzer

Recently blogger has added a new tab called "Stats"
Its a traffic analyzer to blog traffic like Google analytic.
Unlike google analytic you don't need to place any code in Blogger stats.

Blogger stats-what is this?

Its a traffic analyzer to your blog.Whenever a visitor visits to your blog,blogger stats will mark this visit.You can view this statistics any time in Blogger stats.
You can analyze a single visit by the following

• Visitors place-Country.[Audience tab]
• Operating system.[Audience tab]
• Browser type[Audience tab]
• Referrer [Traffic source tab]
  
  • Whether keyword search [key words will be shown]
    
  • Or referring URLS

Analyze the traffic in different time category

Blogger stats has this option to analyze the traffic [referring urls,page views,overview,Audience ]in time basis.

Blogger stats VS Google analytic

Blogger stats is no match for Google analytics.

Google analytics is a sophisticated system to analyze the traffic to blog or websites.On the other hand Blogger stats is a simple application.

Its advantage is that no need to add any code to blog.

In the mean time its no harm to use Blogger stats as it is started recently there will be lots of features and update in this system.

Things you must know-Blogger stats

• It tracks your own page view.
  
  • You need to analyze the visitor traffic ,not your page view as traffic.But Blogger stats shows your visit as page views.
    
• It shows the visit of Crawler as page view.
  
  • Crawler visit to blog is also marked as page views.So if you see page view by countries USA ,Canada-those all are not real human visitors,are crawler visit to your blog.
    
  • Another thing you will notice,in browser category -when you see jakarta commons http client,it is the crawler.
• Don't track my own page view doesn't work.
  
  • Blogger has added a option to disable own page view indexing,but it seems it does not working.Maybe they will notice and fix this.
