Phising scam or identity theft is the most important fact in cyber or internet security.In fact not only in cyber over internet ,some time you may be attacked in your personal life.

Phising scam or identity theft is an art to steal important information of others over internet.

The cyber criminal are so talented and intelligent.They will stage a trap for you.
Without knowing anything you are or will provide personal important information like name ,address,phone number,credit card number,bank name or others.

When they already know certain information about you,they will make more advance trap for you.

Phising scam or identity theft-An example.

Say you have received an email with lottery offer.This says you don't need to pay,just provide some information like name,phone number,bank name and account number,credit card number.
You think that its okay to provide it and do it.
Now they know about your financial fact,your bank name and account number.

Say your bank name is AB bank.Soon or later you may receive a mail same as AB bank sends to customers.
You can not suspect it ,as it contains your name,account number and other information.
This mail may contain the emergency information that "there is some problem in your account balance,please click this link and log in to your account"

When you click the link ,you will be directed to a fraud website looks like the original website of AB bank.If the original AB bank website is www.abbank.com,this fraud website may be www.customer.abbank.com or others.

As you are in the fraud website ,you type the username and password and just provide this username and password to the criminals.you are so so mugged.They will withdraw all money and do more.
