While visiting websites,You have always seen the following logo .Plus there are text like that "Subscribe to our FEED" or only Subscribe with email.You might be thinking what is it?

Feeds like publishing of updates,newer entry of a website or blog in a more reachable way.This might be a short feed with title,writer,published date,and a snippet of the post or it might be full.

In more simple words,if you subscribe a website feed with your mail then whenever there is an update or new entry there will be a mail with the feed.
Now this feed may vary according to this website choice.As said feed may continue title,writer name,date,published date plus a short summary .

There are lots of websites that you like or need.Is it possible to visit those website daily basis that if they are publishing new content or update.Its a hectic matter.Subscribing to feeds solves this.As said earlier whenever there is a new entry or post you will be notified in to your mail or in to your feed reader.

Basic of Feed

The feed you might thinking be who is managing.Its not the website managing the feed of its own.The website only providing its feed link.

The feed is hosted by third party.Google is such like that.Feedburner.google.com is to create feed link,and host it and stream it to users.

There are two format of feeds.One is Atom and another is RSS.RSS means really simple syndication.
